Description
The History of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (Bolsheviks) is vital reading for any communist, with the ideological struggles waged against the Narodniks, Economists, Troskyites, ‘Left’-Revolutionaries, and other groups, many of which bear an uncanny resemblance to those on the political landscape in Britain and many other countries today.
The book was initially serialised in Pravda in 1938 and detailed the party’s origins in the revolutionary movement forming in the Russian empire in the late 19th century. It covers the period of the 1905 revolution and the revolutions of 1917 before dealing with the intensification of class struggle after the proletarian revolution, finishing with an eerily accurate prediction of another imperialist world war.
